It is installed together with a smoke detector and sounder base or a wireless smoke detector with integrated sounder.
When the detector enters alarm status, the sounder is activated and the LED turns on.
The user presses the black button within 30 seconds (configurable), after which a 3-minute ventilation period is provided to clear smoke from the room (configurable).
